Our office is fully equipped throughout with cutting edge technology. This technology is maintained and upgraded regularly. We are confident that you will appreciate our commitment to modern technology and see how it directly improves treatment and care of our patients.

Carestream CS 9300 Cone Beam Scanner

In an ongoing effort to provide our patients with the best care possible, we have added the Carestream CS 9300 Cone Beam system to our oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) technology now provides a digital tomographic 3D view of the patient’s area of interest.   This powerful device is a medical grade, office CT Scan unit and is revolutionary in an outpatient office setting.  A traditional x-ray is only two-dimensional.  With our Cone Beam scanner, we are able to obtain a full 3-dimensional, 360 degree view of the entire facial skeleton or individual teeth!!

Our new CBCT 3D system allows us to target specific isolated areas for exposure, and patients are exposed to significantly less radiation when they receive an imaging study in our office. The system combines speed, image quality and precision placement to further reduce radiation exposure and optimize every scan.  By using less radiation than conventional spiral CT scans, the CS 9300 system helps us adhere to the ALARA principle, “As Low As Reasonably Achievable” which we follow in all our radiology protocol. This ensures that we take every precaution possible to minimize patient exposure to radiation when obtaining the necessary diagnostic images needed for effective and proper treatment planning.

Digital X-ray

Our offices are 100% digitalized with respect to radiography. Digital x-rays greatly reduce the amount of radiation necessary in comparison to more traditional film based x-rays.  The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on computer screens allows our patients to better understand and follow treatment explanations.  Digital x-rays save time and improve patient care. Furthermore digitalization eliminates film, film developer, chemical waste and the environmental impact of these toxins is negated.

Microscopes and Imaging

The use of specialized operating microscopes means that the doctor is able to get a detailed look at the work they are doing during all phases of treatment.  The additional magnification and illumination allow them to work with great precision and see small details such as calcified canals and fractures.  The doctor is able to more accurately diagnose and treat the patient using a dental surgical microscope to improve the potential outcome of the treatment from “good” to “excellent”.  Further, some microscopes may be equipped with high resolution video and digital photography allowing the doctor to enhance patient communication and document treatment.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Use of Electronic Medical Records enables our practice to quickly and accurately access patient information.  This helps to ensure patient confidentiality as well as reduce the need for paper.  Using a digital format allows for quick access to patient information when needed for insurance records while providing a secure filing system.

Digital Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera combines the latest video technologies with oral surgical care. Digital photography allows both the doctor and our patients to immediately view detailed images of their mouth or teeth in real time.  With an intraoral digital photography patients are able to better understand and appreciate their condition and the status of their oral health.

Ultra Quiet Electric Handpieces

Our state of the art handpieces and saws are the most efficient and powerful handpieces.   They provide less vibration and noise than traditional dental drills.

Piezo Electric Handpieces

These handpieces are specialized sophisticated ultrasonic saws used specifically for cutting bone atraumatically. These handpieces gently and meticulously cut bone and enable the doctors to perform improved services never before performed in an office environment.

Integrated Technology

Our 3 offices are located in Hudson and Bergen counties and these offices are completely technologically integrated. All of our patient records are available in any of our locations at all times. The offices are equipped throughout with digital flat screen monitors which allow our patients to easily view their digitized imaging studies, as well as any digitalized photography when speaking with the doctor. Clear viewing of clinical findings provides more appreciation and a better understanding of their oral health.
